Electronic Data Connection
Featuring the DataConnection® system
What do we do exactly?
We serve the copier and printer industries. We provide an effective, economical means of electronically monitoring and tracking data.
Meter Readings:
The heart of the DataConnection® System! The system is designed to electronically collect data from your copier and/or printers in the field and send it Automatically to a Stand Alone Telephone Interface Unit in your facility saving you Time, Money, and Aggravation.
It has been our experience that large and small Service Providers alike do not have a handle on their actual and hidden cost for collecting meter readings. " A few years ago, DocuTrends research found that it costs a minimum of $5 to $8 to collect and process a meter reading. However, with missed readings, transposed numbers, callbacks to customers for incorrect numbers, etc., this figure could, actually be as high as $20 per meter reading." (Norton, Richard, ImageSourc, February 2004, Vol. 7, Issue 2, Page 13)
Just imagine collecting data automatically without making phone calls, faxing, emailing, or tying up your customers network. You can collect hourly, daily, weekly, monthly or when ever you program the electronic equipment to report. The DataConnection® System works 24/7 without holidays off.
Toner Replacement:
This is simple…you should know approximately how many copies each toner produces and you should know the average number of copies each machine is producing each month…to hard to keep track of? The DataConnection® System keeps track for you automatically.
What This Means To You?
- Your customer will not have to call and wait for toner replacement to be shipped or delivered to them. You will be on top of their needs and have it at their door before they even know they need it. Making them feel important and valued as a customer.
- If you are re-manufacturing cartridges, you can control the amount of copies each cartridge produces.
- If you outsource you will be able to lower your inventory on hand by projecting your future needs instead of guessing. You will receive daily reports telling you what equipment is going to need toner.
Scheduled Parts Replacement:
Parts seem to have a life of their own governed by use of the equipment and the pages they produce. Just imagine being automatically notified when the equipment is 2000 pages away from needing a drum replacement. You check your inventory, schedule a service appointment, replace the drum and your customer has not experienced one minute of frustration waiting for you to get the part and get their machine up and running again. We call this being proactive instead of reactive. We can guarantee you that your customer will think you're a Hero.
Emergency Service:
Each Reader is equipped with a button that your customer can push if their machine malfunctions. Once they push the button, an alarm is set off at your facility and data is produced to tell you who activated the alarm. Now you can react in a positive way by calling the company and talking with them to find out what the problem is. From your customers perspective it looks like you have made the initial contact and that you are there for them. Customers report that the alarm button is the best thing to come along since sliced bread.
